USB

USB Universal Serial Bus…..let’s simplify? A plug.

It is a standard device, available on PCs, and it is designed to connect any external hardware to your main pc or laptop without rebooting. Most commonly I can plug a keyboard, a printer, my digital camera, a mouse, or any component that works in conjunction with my computer.

Besides connecting to other hardware components, I find of great use the USB available for storage in substitution to the floppy disc. My favorite is the USB also named flash drive. It is just handy as a key chain. Very convenient and ready to use to back up files and store documents.

Now there are external hard drives there has a larger capacity than your regular portable disc. USB was released in 1995 at 12 Mbps, and today it is available at 480 Mbps. USB came out 1.1 and was integrated at most computer 12mb/s, it used to be standard.

Later usb 2.0 were made at 480mb/s.

Before these were called firewire, it had a speed of 400 mb/s.

iPhone...just another gadget?

Time is Money, an old say that is plain logical or productive to anyone who doesn't like to waste time with fullish stuff. Technology have changed businesses world wide and improved peoples lives. It facilitated and it has been for a long time, but when will it stop?

Our era is addicted to these gadgets, computers, tvs, phones, cameras...we are wired 24/7.
Technology has invaded our lives at work, at leasure, at home and the manufactures won't stop creating theses items that attract our attention.
Why do we buy them? Is it really the convenience or are we so consumed with the desire to possess the latest product on the market? Does anyone stop to think if it is really necessary to sleep over outside a store to buy the Phone and show off before friends? How materialistic can we get?

For a couple of months the iPhone has been exposed on TV with a campaign that probably lasts no more than a minute. It called to my attention the simple fact that there is internet access, mp3 player, and camera/phone all in one. Sounds great, right? Maybe not that great!

I googled a few reviews on the item and to my surprise it is not as pretty as it sounds.
The link is from Fox News, and I believe that if a review is posted on the news it's because it is supposed to be news. According to this article the iPhone is has a great features with easy to follow browser. The mp3 player is just your regular iPod and it just works fine in conjunction with internet browser. The camera has no surprises! It doesn’t bring anything eye catching, but it’s fine as long as it works. Now for my surprise the phone doesn’t meet expectations. Maybe i should just continue to be Pod or iWeb, because the phone is really not that great. The phone service was compared to Blackberry, that has been around for maybe a year, and for each 3 calls iPhone completed 1, while Blackberry connected all of them.

If you are interested in more information on this item, check out the page and there is detailed description for each feature.
